The Project Initiation Document. The Project Initiation Document (PID) is a key document in the success of the project. Use this PID template document to ensure that you represent the full facts to the Project Board for their approval to proceed with the project.	This is a Microsoft Word file. If you do not have MS Word a viewer may be obtained from the Microsoft Web Site - here.
The Communications Plan. Once it is decided to proceed with the project then communication is all important. Use this Communications Plan template document to ensure that you identify all the stakeholders and plan your communications with them.	This is a Microsoft Word file. If you do not have MS Word a viewer may be obtained from the Microsoft Web Site - here.
A Project Plan for the Initiation Stage. This is a template for the Initiation Stage Project Plan - it is used to assist in the process of setting up a project. You will need to estimate durations for each task involved as this will vary with the complexity of the project.	This is a Microsoft Project file but Microsoft do not provide a viewer for Project files. A free viewer is obtainable from the Afinion web site - here. Download a version for your computer, e.g. Windows, Mac. On installation you will be asked which version you wish to install - just choose the free one.
