Project Mandate is very pleased to acknowledge the appointment of its Principal Consultant, Charles Etchells BSc(Hons) IEng MBCS CITP into the voluntary role of Area Organiser (Central West) for IT Can Help.

IT Can Help is a network of volunteers who are able to offer Free local computer assistance to disabled people.

The project was launched in 1994 following a two year development programme. IT Can Help aims to address the current shortfall in the availability of technical assistance for disabled people using computers.

Following a re-organisation in 2005, IT Can Help is now a programme of the British Computer Society (BCS) , funded primarily through the Charities Fund Management Committee of the BCS, with additional major support in 2006/7 and again in 2007/8 from the Marchday Trust.
